Why is this promoted?

Probably because that's the opinion of one random person with a YouTube channel and it says something different than reliable, known reviewers (e.g., Dustin Abbott) and the reputation of SmallRig as a company.

Has anybody used Watson LP E6(N/P/NH) batteries? I use the Watson LP-6NH version and have had good luck with them.

Why is this promoted?

The video says that the SmallRig got the lowest real-world capacity. And I don't care. I can charge in the field with a PowerBank or in the car and couldn't care less. Any battery without USB is a complete failure for me, including the original Canon.

Have a couple of them and they have preformed real well in both my R6MkIII and R5 MkII for half the price of OEM. And the USB charging has worked great when I'm out and about, plug them into the cars USB and the charge fairly quick.
